Also called oil cloths, painted canvases, and floor canvases, floorcloths are an American tradition that dates back to the time of George Washington.
Our floorcloths are hand-stenciled canvases by an artist who uses authentic patterns and designs found in 18th century homes. They are meant to be walked on, which makes them the ideal choice for a traditional look that can stand up to the wear-and-tear of modern life.
With more than 30 years of experience, the artist we feature at Gallery 30 in Gettysburg has earned the distinction of Certified Stenciler, an honor achieved by a very select group of less than 100 people worldwide.
